The patients rights groups (PULSE & NEPRG in your area) are observing national patient safety week this week and are passing this out. You know, ACOG could develop such a “patient safety” document specifically for obstetrics and gynecology. 20 Tips to Help Prevent Medical Errors http://www.ahrq.gov/consumer/20tips.htm For those interested all AHRQ’s documents re: patient safety, they are at: http://www.ahrq.gov/qual/errorsix.htm

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
