Bob, there is very little on metformin in pregnancy, here or in the the rest of the world. My concern is that may RE's are using it for PCO patients and for recurrent loss....in the first trimester and we have limited info on fetal effects.

Langer's article in the NEJM was using glyburide...not metformin. No problems with metformin to date.
