Re: malpractice case (long) - factsFrom: Ricardo Savaris (savaris@orion.ufrgs.br)Thu Jan 31 19:04:32 2002
Re: malpractice case (long) - factsSince the Brazilian law is lighter than in USA, our lawyers are well domesticated, and we don't have insurance (for the reasons I already mentioned), I decided to stay quiet on this case. But, because of this list, I started to order a transvaginal US every time the b-hCG comes in the discriminatory zone, and if it isn't in the discriminatory zone, I will order again to check the raise until reach the d.zone. I don't know what the EBM says about it, but I have been doing it. I believe that it is a good policy for preventing problems like that. What do you all think?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
