Through the years - anyone I have taken care of for infertility or whatever that I have deemed is at risk for ectopic, is made WELL aware of her risk and counselled in no uncertain terms that whenever and wherever she happens to get a positive pregnancy test, she needs to make darn sure that she is followed for a potential ectopic.

If I was the one who had done the L/S 2 years prior - my records would show that.

In deposition, the ob/gyn group member who did the laparoscopy said he counselled the patient regarding her increased ectopic risk, but it wasn't documented - and as I mentioned, he was subsequently dropped from the case.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
