Never been in this situation, but my first inclination would be to go back in time and do an abdominal hyst while she was getting the abdominoplasty. If for some reason you cannot do this, then finding out if her peritoneal cavity was entered might help you decide to do the umbilical port open. (I do all of them this way but that is a different thread altogether) I would at least have a look with the scope, because you can always convert to laparotomy, but you cannot convert to laparoscopy..
