I suppose if you can document that she was instructed on symptoms of ectopic pregnancy that you would have some defense. Some docs in our geographic area do not see new OB patients until 8 weeks of amenorrhea, so it is a community standard.. I just think it is poor customer service to make someone wait 3 more weeks to see the doctor.. As an aside, I think it is also poor business practice. You can usually bill separately for the first visit outside the global OB package as a pregnancy confirmation/amenorrhea evaluation.

Probably. It likely would have made me order HCGs or a scan earlier, thus preventing the outcome.

absolutely, spouse has some culpability, but how you assess his percentage is subjective..
