the beauty of the American system as you have outlined is beautiful ONLY for attorneys. When America was the govt of the people, by the people and for the people, it was the land of the free. now that America is the land of the lawyers, occasionally the consultation is free.

just my opinion - i could be wrong.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
