I love it. Probably needs the money pay the postage for the tax rebate checks. Glad we have such a large surplus.

On January 10th, President Bush signaled his intent to cut off funding for the United Nations Population Fund - a cut that could result in 2 million unwanted pregnancies, 4,700 maternal deaths, and more than 77,000 infant and child deaths across the globe. UNFPA provides much needed family planning HIV/AIDS and STD prevention, sexuality education, maternal health and other reproductive health services in more than 140 countries, often in places where no other organization is able to work. Last year President Bush requested $25 million for UNFPA, and just two months ago the U.S. State Department gave UNFPA $600,000 to assist desperately needy women fleeing Afghanistan, clearly indicating the administration's belief that UNFPA is a critical partner in improving the lives of women in Afghanistan.

Congress has already approved $34 million for UNFPA, but the President may invoke his executive powers to withhold funding. To read more, visit

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
