I have the same feeling.

I submitted my comments:

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has affirmed based on a multitude of clinical studies, that misoprostol (Cytotec) is a safe ,effective and standard method of induction of labor. They quote in a letter to the FDA: "In conclusion, the ACOG Committee on Obstetric Practice reaffirms that misoprostol is a safe and effective agent for cervical ripening and labor induction when used appropriately. " Administration and of this agent is part of the "standard of care"

Gary Kleinman, MD

An appropriate tag line would be a quote I first saw on this list. I cant remember the exact quote, and am paraphrasing it. It applies well to ambulance chasers.

"Never teach a pig to sing, it doesn't work and it annoys the pig"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
