At this point in US history we are not in a Libertarian Society - and I don't think we are suddenly going to stop funding either Aid to Dependent Children - or the War machine/Pentagon. So - what can we do... Many studies have good evidence that when the educational level of a society is raised - the rate of childbirth spontaneously declines.

This is the background I have - and is the reason behind my practice of education, education, education. With education and empowerment of the individual to make educated decisions - they mostly choose to not procreate indiscriminately.

So for me, in my practice, I will continue to educate. I will also continue to encourage the society I live in to not restrict access to options for family planning.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
