She had a laparoscopy this winter, and at surgery had an endometrioma drained and other lesions treated surgically with laser. Tubes were patent, and appear unaffected by the operative note from the surgeon (not me). She received Lupron GNRH, and is currently symptom (pain) free on Norethindrone (Aygestin). The patient wants to know what her chances are for infertility, and if she should wait to start a family versus starting now. The worry about her fertility is the patient's main concern, as she currently is single, and is getting her life plans in order. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
