Today this patient who had several fainting episodes in the early stages of her pregnancy, visited a Obstetrician for the first time. He told her that her fainting episodes were due to higher progesterone levels in that period and that the smooth muscles relax, which includes the blood vessel walls. So her remedy of getting up more slowly when she has to get up, does the trick. I didnt get this kind of diagnosis from this forum, so I wondered what you think about it. How realistic is it?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
