Re: 41 yo, Adnexal MassFrom: Joanne Bulley (islesannie@yahoo.com)Wed Jul 18 22:49:47 2001
Physical exam - VERY thin, easy to examine woman - palpable smooth cystic mobile 6 cm left ovarian mass. remainder of pelvis without abnormality. U/S - 6 cm complex L adnexal cystic structure. No ascites or other abnormality. Laparoscopy confirms - but - accessibility of ligaments not easy. Laparotomy with LSO - fresh/frozen evaluation consistent with cystadenoma without malignancy. Expect final path tomorrow. Home about 24 hours post op. Joanne PS: the main thing with the personalities and toe stepping was peeling the patient off the cieling after she was abruptly told by and unknown nurse she had ovarian Ca.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
