I learned dilatation exactly as Kathi did, and this is how I teach my students. Interestingly enough, one of my back up physicians (who, IMO, always checks "big") was most chagrined to learn that he did, in fact, measure round openings exactly one cm too big.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
