Dear colleagues in Slovenia discussion is hot about intrauterine donor insemination performed on request of single woman. Opinion from majority of gynecologists, medical chamber and church is, that it is unethical to help women without partner, because child will be without father. My point of view is, that we are not anymore living in ideal society and ideal families. If we deny IUI at single woman- including lesbians, disabled etc. we are thinking as Hitler, not allowing pregnancy to jews, psychiatric patients and so one. What is your statement. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
