Even though we are not routinely excused, I've been called and reported twice for jury duty in the last ten years, but never asked to serve on the jury. Like the other poster, its a matter of sitting around until they find you are a doctor then collect your $10 and be on your way. (I believe that is what it paid.) I think lawyers are about as reluctant to have us on their juries as we are to have them or their wives in our offices.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
