The email address suggests a lawyer as author. This forum is for MEDICAL professionals only and it is an expected courtesy that those involved identify themselves. -----Original Message----- From: obgyn21205@justice.com [mailto:obgyn21205@justice.com] Sent: 02 May 2001 05:34 To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Advice on refuting claims of negligence in Birth injury Forgive me,if I am wrong...I do not understand what it is that you are attempting to dispute. The evidence looks clear and factual...A C-Section should have been performed from what I observe. I do not know the law in England reguarding malpractice, but here in the U.S.,it has actually become a rising concern among doctors that more and more suits are taking place. Birth trauma is on the steady rise,as well as disorders in children, that are on teh rise, many of which result from a mistake during the birth process, much like the one you described. My best advice to you is to be honest, becuase you are under oath, and you need to learn from your mistakes. The evidence against you does not look favorable, and I would talk to your attorney, rather than the persons who communicate on this board, unless a lawyer be among them. Just be honest.... ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they -- are addressed. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
