My understanding is this even applies prior to implantation--the "offender" does not have to know the woman is pregnant. In fact the woman herself does not even have to know she is pregnant. I wonder if she can be charged if she attempts suicide. Its clear there are all kinds of unanswered potential implications. Lenora McCall, CNM

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
