Whew!!! Well, with the prior doc saying "must operate" - I too would have continued with the paln, relucatantly! If I had started with her and found the cervix to be 4-5 cm - that is "completely dilated" for 22.5 weeks. And I'd have opted for what you ended up doing - with the knowledge that abdominal surgery may be needed as well.

As for the resus - I'd have peds there to evaluate the gestational age and whether resus is necessary.

As was said - Kudos for a job well done - and take a day off!
