There is certainly a risk of thrombosis with HRT, probably higher in this population than in others. I'm not sure it absolutely contraindicates the use of HRT, though.

My understanding is that the evidence that exists is clear that the SERMs have the same risk of thromboembolic disease as traditional HRT
