Dear colleagues, I would like to have your advice on HRT in postmenopausal women carriers of a thrombophilic gene mutation ( Factor Leiden and others ). Do replacement therapies outweigh the risks of a thrombotic event? Can an HRT be continued in case of detection of a gene mutation? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
