If it's any help, this sort of behaviour apparently seems to be encouraged by university nursing programs. The perinatal nursing list has many, many such enquiries about various topics pertaining to obstetrics and newborn care. Apparently, students are actually *assigned* to post such queries to internet list-servs. This one just happened to make it here.

Personally (can't believe I'm agreeing w/ Bob here ;-0), I find it to be an odd way to conduct research into any kind of topic. We were taught to do our own searches.... and to do the critical appraisal thereof.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
