> She presented 2 days ago with lower abdo ...... Urine drug screen repeated Follow up of above case: 1. specific gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric test on her urine was negative for metamphetamine or amphetamine. 2. the lab informed me that the following drugs are likely to cross-react in most amphetamine screening test assays: ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, ranitidine, phentermi9ne, bupropion, chlorpromazine and promethazine. ****guess what she has also been taking: - ranitidine. Therefore I apologised for the behaviour of our nursing staff towards her (treating her like she's a drug addict, and not a reformed one). She went home and returned a week later in spontaneous labour and she had a normal delivery of a normal boy.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
