Re: SERIOUS CASE, AT THE IUC - follow upFrom: amehc (amehc@ez-poa.com.br)Tue Apr 3 17:00:41 2001
I just spoke to the clinicians at the IUC. She is getting better, O2 saturation 98%, hemodinamically stable She developed bilateral pleural effusion today Hemoculture : presence of Gram negative The lastest hypothesis (you know they keep changing it) hse has a sepsis of unknown origin (respiratory? Legionella?), but the truth is that she has an infection and the antibiotics are covering it. If she keeps this good evolution, they will start to take her of ventilation little by little. Thanks for your replies, and sorry for my English :), but I believe that I made myself understood. Ricardo Savaris, MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
