Re: New Clamp for TVH actually for Vaginal BSOFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Sat Mar 31 18:49:42 2001
We've had ours for about 2 years now. I haven't used it since yesterday. I really love it. It makes getting the IP really easy in most cases. Dan -----Original Message----- From: garrys@mindspring.com To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Sent: 3/31/2001 3:22 PM Subject: GYN: New Clamp for TVH I had the pleasure of using a new hysterectomy clamp at a recent TVH with BSO. It is called a Gupta-Frank clamp, I believe, and/or an infundibular pelvic clamp. I'm not sure of the manufacturer. Anyway, it is long, and curved kind of like uterine dressing forceps, so that you can reach up and angle it in to clamp the infudibulo-pelvic ligament with good visualization. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
