Re: Criminal Teaching on immediate cord clamping on an infant's pulsating lifeline, the umbilical cordFrom: DoctorJoe@aol.comFri Mar 30 15:28:37 2001
In a message dated 3/30/01 16:13:15, dyoung@pris.bc.ca writes: << I challenge those out there with pedigrees to their names, whoops, degrees, to do a video on the fact of immediate cord clamping, before the infant is breathing, that is now routine, done in C-sections (increased up to 25 percent) and in normal vaginal births. Then after the immediate cord clamping, the video then shows the Oliver Twist means of getting the baby started to breathe, the spank on the bottom, the hopeful the baby breathes. >> Hey, now we're mixing apples, oranges, and PEARS! Yes, this may well make some mileage in front of a jury, simply because of the CONFUSION generated by this type of ill-logic. Joe P. P.S. "Sorry, Captain. But this is simply not logical." "Well, dammit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not a mechanic!" "Okay, Bones. Then you take the apple, Spock will take the orange, and since I'm the captain, I'll take the pear! hehe!"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
