I have six kids, most of whom have been to OR, hospital and office, so i guess that makes me "experienced" in these matters. But I agree strongly with Steve that 14 is way too young - I have been more comfortable with 16-17 years (ie seniors). Of course some younger kids are more mature than their older counterparts so individualization is in order. But when dealing with "unknowns" I would limit this to the older kids.
