Marco - you are RIGHT ON!!!

I wouldn't be all self righteous in front of the patient - I'd approach from the "Now that we ahve a negative CST for X hours... we know that the baby is fine so I would recommend we not push any harder at this time..." THEN I would corner the doc who started it all and pursue the "If you want to start this c*** - then you better plan on staying here throughout the entire care plan!!!!"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
