Ultrasound @OBGYN.net is pleased to announce an important article, "Sonography of the Breast". Dr. Eric Blackwell, Professor of Radiology and Chief, Division of Diagnostic Ultrasound, Texas Tech University School of Medicine, Lubbock, said of the article: "This is really THE definitive guide to breast sonography and we are lucky to have Cindy's approval to use it."

The article, by Ms. Cynthia L. Rapp BS, RDMS, Radiology Imaging Associates - Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colorado, is a reprint of her lecture at the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's Official Proceedings 17th Annual Conference. September 14-17, 2000, Dallas Texas, p. 57-67. (http://www.sdms.org/meetings/default.asp)

Cindy has graciously given the OBGYN.net permission to post her article. This article is a clear explanation of the subtle techniques and interpretations of breast sonographs with good illustrations. The subtleties of breast sonography make it one of the most difficult to accurately demonstrate and diagnose.

Hyperlinks to the article can be found on: Ultrasound section at http://www.obgyn.net/us/us.asp or Breast Care section at http://www.obgyn.net/bh/bh.asp

We thank Cindy and welcome her as one of the luminary contributors to OBGYN.net.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
