This kinda reminds me of the time I sent a lady with a probable breech at 37 weeks up for an ultrasound to confirm position and consider for version. The consultant called me and told me that yes the baby was breech but needed to be delivered by c-sec across town at the tertiary center immediately due to severe IUGR. He said we had a 4-lb. baby in there and we needed to get it out and have the neonatologists on hand. I protested that she had been measuring adequate size and the baby felt normal size when I did Leopold's. He angrily said No this baby feels small and is small. So we all raced across town, assembled the big bucks team and delivered...........a 7 lb 12 oz healthy baby. Then the consultant had the nerve to say, You know it felt normal size on Leopold's.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
