i was wondering how long it is safe to be taking birth control pills. i have been told numerous times that if you take them for too many years, you are at risk for developing reproductive complications. i've been on lo ovral 28 for 5 years now, and i need to know if it's time to stop taking the pill. please email me as soon as possible!! thank-you, jennifer

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
