GYN: followup of tubal pregnancyFrom: Garry Siegel (garrys@mindspring.com)Wed Feb 28 21:05:56 2001
I did a lapscope salpingostomy for an unruptured ectopic today. Here's what I've done/tell patients, and wanted to see what others did. -recurrence rate is about 15% -about 15% with have incomplete removal of tissue and need further surgery (unlikely) or methotrexate -I do a follow HCG a few days later -I ask them to avoid pregnancy for 3 months, and do an HSG at that time--do others do this? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
