We have our patient coordinator call our new patients the night before, sometimes the morning of the visit and despite assurances that they are coming, we still have a 50% no-show rate for new patients - very frustrating. So I am not sure how an automated system would help.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
