I believe you may have discovered the reason Robin's Medline search failed. I just did a very quick search on OBGYN.net's Knowledgefinder free Medline search engine and found several references. I'm sure many more could be found by expanding out search through individual articles. I used "squatting in second stage labor alternative birth positions" as my search criteria. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
