I'm happy for anyone to disagree! However is there any evidence to support a more aggressive policy? I feel almost certain (but can't put a finger on it) that I have seen something published recently that says aspirin is enough until labour/delivery. -----Original Message----- From: eramirez@icepr.com [mailto:eramirez@icepr.com] Sent: 23 February 2001 22:34 To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: DVT and Pregnancy I don't agree with Malcom - prior DVT is an indication for prophylatic low dose heparin -I would give her heparin as you did - increase to 8,000 BID at 20 weeks - no problem in labor - Lovenox is an alternative -- costly - give calcium with Vit D. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
