I agree with Joe - someone who learns and practices self defense such as Karate - always carries it with her (since we are talking about the rape of women). It must be practiced - just as firing a firearm. In classes and tournements you use it with another human opponent - so it is not that big a stretch if you ever need to really use it in self defense. (unlike firearms where the actual pointing and firing the weapon at a human will be done for the first time when in a bad situation - with all the fear based hormones flowing)

I also agree with Art, that although I often disagree with Bob, his posts and writings are usually well put.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
