Re: ACOG cognatesFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Thu Feb 15 13:49:30 2001
It said it could take up to 6 months to get the certificate. Dan -----Original Message----- From: Dr. Lynn Montgomery [mailto:lmontgomery@communitymed.org] Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2001 2:15 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: ACOG cognates I did my annual recert last year for ACOG and got the letter stating that I qualified for the credits, but I got my transcript from ACOG today and there are no credits listed. Further, beyond getting a form letter stating that I had satisfactorily completed the recert exams and qualified, I have never gotten the certificate promised. What's up with this, are the fees we pay the board not enough? Lynn

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
