Re: Being in the wrong place...From: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Tue Feb 13 07:34:53 2001
my wife's OB was burned tho ultimately turned out ok - asked to help in a bad shoulder dystocia - baby developed an erb's and the usual serve everyone including the hospital porters was the rule of the day. he fought the suit all the way and the jury ultimately was quite sympathetic based on the "Good Samaritan" line of reasoning. however, was of course time consuming and emotionally draining. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
