I have not heard of that price, but assuming that is a true figure, imagine a time when our government is the only payor of health benefits and decides to pay 25 cents for a pack of birth control pills, thank you very much drug companies. Not an unimaginable scenario seeing that now hospitals are reimbursed for Medicare at rates lower than their costs. There will be no place to shift costs from because there is only one payor in town, your government.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
