Re: Office Staff QuestionFrom: Dr. Lynn Montgomery (lmontgomery@communitymed.org)Wed Jan 17 09:31:10 2001
One physician (me) One full-time RN One full-time receptionist One full-time coding/billing person-started off by trying to combine the reception/billing/coding because of the fact that our volume as a perinatal practice is not as "rapid fire" as a general OB/GYN office, but it didn't work. Our coding/billing person, even with just me, is busy all day, every day and then some. Lynn -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net]On Behalf Of Steven W Crawford Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2001 8:35 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Office Staff Question How many office staff personnel do physician members of the List have in their office(s) PER PHYSICIAN? Please detail what type of staff jobs you have. For example, how many nurses? And are they RN's or LPN's? How about Roomers? Ultrasound tech? How many staff at the front desk in your office? I would appreciate input relating how each and every member physician of this OB/GYN List staff their offices. I feel that we could all learn from the information from the Practices that have been in business for years and are doing well! I appreciate your help, all of you! Sincerely, Steven Crawford, MD Ohio

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
