Re: CME & the ListFrom: Joanne Bulley (islesannie@yahoo.com)Sun Jan 14 15:46:47 2001
The state of New Hampshire asks for 150 credits for 3 years - and some maximum # of that can be "category 2" - presentations for nursiing staff, other docs, journals and the like. This fits into their description of category 2 but I am not sure what "documentation" I would make to show it is educational. Yes - it would never count toward any of the various and sundry things that go along with Category 1 but it is definitely educational. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
