Re: A question for youFrom: J. Hellriegel (jhellrie@pce.net)Sat Jan 13 20:20:16 2001
One of my concerns of using DepoProvera for an extended period of time start at a young age is the possible increased risk of osteoporosis later in life. To stop menses, increase dose or frequency of dosing. I have used as much as 200 mg every month. After achieving amenorrhea, move toward the 150 mg, q3mo.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
