Re: Bic PenFrom: Mark Perloe (mperloe@ivf.com)Wed Jan 3 07:18:20 2001
A 38 yo woman was admitted to the onc service with a vaginal mass. On a flat plate we saw what looked like a 35mm metal film cannister in the poster cul de sac. On the CXR before surgery, an open safety pin was noted inside one of her breasts. The patient denied knowledge of any foreign bodies. At surgery the cannister was removed. No, we did not find drugs. When the container was opened, a roll of 35mm film was found. Developing revealed that the film had not been exposed.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
