2nd try - anyone using laser in the office for hair removal?

Posted an inquiry about a month ago and got no bites. While dermatologists are the primary folks using this technology, it is not a difficult procedure to do (many places have techs doing them) and in small markets (such as mine) there is nobody currently providing the service. It would seem to be a good cash flow addition to the office if one can generate volume enough to pay off the capital investment and will provide a much desired service to the women I see.

Thus I am seriously considering adding this service to my practice. I would be very appreciative in any information others might provide on shopping the various vendors out there and would especially value input from anyone already running a machine in their office. I also am considering adding spider vein treatment as several of these machines will do both.

If you would rather not reply on the forum, personal email is fine and will be kept confidential.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
