For those of you who are nervous about flying objects... Something from NORAD. Joe P. << 001876. Command begins tracking Santa Claus Dec. 23 by Master Sgt. Larry Lincoln North American Aerospace Defense Command Public Affairs CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN, Colo. (AFPN) -- The North American Aerospace Command begins tracking Santa Claus at midnight Dec. 23 Eastern Standard Time. The "NORAD Tracks Santa" program features a six-language live-tracking Web site designed to bring a touch of the season to eager Santa watchers around the globe. This site features visual and audio updates hourly until 5 a.m. EST Christmas Day, according to Maj. Jamie Robertson, deputy director of NORAD Public Affairs. "We'll simply pick up the information as soon as Santa's sleigh launches from the North Pole," Robertson said. "Even before we pick up Santa on radar or via visual identification, we'll be able to detect the infrared glare from the tip of Rudolph's nose. It's the same technology we use to track missiles." NORAD will track the jolly old elf using digital animation, satellite/cockpit images and audio reports from the NORAD command center located in Cheyenne Mountain. To view the 2000 NORAD Tracks Santa site, go to http://www.noradsanta.org. People wanting information via telephone on Santa's progress can call a special hotline at 719-474-3980 after 4 p.m. EST Dec. 24. (Courtesy of Air Force Space Command News Service)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
