I was reading a novel awhile back in which a starving woman gave birth on a roadside in the middle of a famine and buried the placenta under a tree and all I could think was that she was going to regret discarding that excellent source of protein. Medicine really alters your perspective on things sometimes.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
