There is a "Baby Doe" law or some such regulation with criminal implications regarding withholding life-saving treatment for newborns. as neonatology continues to push the envelope, these decisions get harder and harder. what is a termination in room 4 may be a resuscitation in room 8. sometimes, it behooves us all to realize that just because something can be done doesn't necessarily mean it should be done.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
