I think this is an excellent example of the fine line society walks in
deciding what are patients' (read mother's or parents') rights vs. those
of selfish medical professionals, or medicolegal paranoia substituting
for just plain common sense. Of course, one can invoke the wrath of the
anti-choice and ADA (American with Disabilities Act)partisans by even
ever suggesting that sometimes it may be "better" to just let nature
take its course.
What kind of a life is this for any human?
