Well said! I have had one woman come to our office with the expectation that she was seeing a male physician. Evidently it was a secretarial error that had her scheduled to see me. When the nurse said have a seat in Karen's office and she will be here in a minute the woman responded with alarm..."I'm not going to let a woman touch me"! There's just no end to the possibilities in human perception! I'm just grateful that I rejected the bigotry of my family of origin and moved to higher ground.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
