Well mos of the ones I have delivered actually were talked into it by the midwives, they didn't really care either way. Of course a few rabid teacher types would have preferred a dolphin pool...

Does the Nursing or Midwifery Board prescribe having delivered as a prerequisite to registration as a Nurse Midwife in your state?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
